TCA CROSS therapy stands for the chemical reconstruction of skin scars (CROSS) using trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which is typically used in low concentration (20–35%) for a chemical peel and improves the appearance of facial scars and skin ageing.  It is important to learn how to correctly and confidently assess common skin concerns in order to provide patients with the best care possible. The industry requires certification and training so that no one is hurt during the treatments.

And, the more skills you have, the more money you will make!

TCA Cross

Acne can occur at any age, in people of all skin types and tones. Some acne heals on its own, while other, more severe forms can lead to permanent acne scarring which can be hard to conceal with makeup.

The procedure involves depositing small amounts of TCA at high concentration (70–100%) onto the surface of the atrophic scar. This causes a local inflammatory reaction leading to the formation of new collagen. The aim is to improve the appearance of the scar by increasing collagen and reducing shadows cast over scar depressions.

TCA breaks down scar tissue, stimulating new collagen to fill in the acne scar instantly.
