You could get all the best cleansers, serums, and moisturizers in the market, but if you’re not nourishing your body with the right vitamins, you’ll never get your skin to look as healthy and glowy as you’d like it to be.
If you’re anything like me, you love eating healthy anyways, but knowing what exactly are the best vitamins for clear skin is essential to make sure you’re getting enough of them. Don’t be afraid to make changes to your diet here and there if you feel you could make a few improvements.
Should I take or apply vitamins topically?
Both! Your overall health will impact the way your skin looks anyway, so it’s best to start from the inside out. You can get many of the best vitamins for clear skin from the food you eat (hello vitamin C and tasty oranges!), but you can also take oral supplements to get that extra fuel.
With that said, many of my favorite serums and skincare essentials these days come with a dose of vitamins for clear skin that you can apply topically and see immediate changes on your skin.
Still, though, make sure you’re definitely eating all the right things and use beauty products as an extra, not a substitute (a healthy and well-nourished body makes your skin happy, after all!)
The Best Vitamins For Clear Skin You Need In Your Routine:
1. Vitamin C
Vitamin C is the current buzz when it comes to the best vitamins for clear skin and the reasons for its growing popularity are plenty! Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients to brighten dull skin, even out your skin tone, hydrate, and diminish acne scars! Seriously, using products with vitamin C can solve sooo many skincare issues in one go. What it does is basically use electrons to neutralize free radicals (like pollution on your face!) and it also blocks the enzyme that’s responsible for skin pigmentation (the culprit when we’re dealing with uneven skin tones and dark spots).
So yep. Make sure there’s vitamin C in your skincare routine, be it in serums, face masks, and moisturizers – it’ll make a world of difference on your skin!
Here are some of my go-to skincare products with vitamin C in them:
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic is one of the best vitamins for clear skin. This vitamin C serum helps neutralize free radicals induced by UVA/UVB, infrared radiation (IRA), and ozone pollution (O3), which may lead to visible signs of accelerated skin aging. In addition to antioxidant protective benefits, C E Ferulic improves signs of aging and photo-damage, the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and the loss of firmness, while brightening skin’s complexion.

SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF
SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF provides powerful antioxidant protection to normal, oily, and combination skin types. Designed for daytime use, this antioxidant serum neutralizes free radicals to prevent signs of accelerated skin aging. The blend of phloretin, pure vitamin C, and Ferulic acid improve the appearance of discoloration, fine lines, and uneven skin tone.

Other ways to add a lil’ vitamin C to your life:
- Eat more citrus fruits – oranges and lemons are my favs!
- Add a little lemon to your water – this will also help you drink more water and stay hydrated and healthy.
- Make yourself smoothies with vitamin C sources such as spinach or strawberries.
2. Vitamin B3
One of the best vitamins for clear skin that absolutely needs to be in your skincare routine is Niacimade (also known as vitamin B3). It’s a must for healthy skin because it’s a really powerful antioxidant and will make a huge difference in your skin by reducing the appearance of fine lines and redness. Most of my favorite beauty products have vitamin B3 in them and so should yours!
One note, though, is that you shouldn’t be using vitamin B3 and vitamin C at the same time because it can cause redness if you have sensitive skin. If you like to use them both, just make sure you’re applying them separately!
How to get more vitamin B3:
- Eat more salmon and tuna.
- Avocados, mushrooms, and potatoes are great sources of Vitamin B3 for vegetarians/vegans.
Vitamin A
A is for anti-aging and acne!
Vitamin A basically tells your cells to behave in a younger way and is your best friend when it comes to assisting collagen and elastin formation. It’s an essential vitamin where anti-aging is concerned. Moreover, Vitamin A also helps improve other skin conditions like acne, pigmentation, and dry skin as it promotes natural moisturizing. In short, Vitamin A is one of the best vitamins for clear skin no matter what stage of life you’re in!

Lumity Supplements
Aside from applying vitamins for clear skin topically, it’s also important to work your skin from the inside out! I always encourage my clients to take vitamins and supplements to give their skin cells a little help here and there. My favorite brand is LUMITY Supplements – they’re made specifically for women and their formula has so many anti-aging benefits! They’re also easy to swallow, which is very important for me.
